Kevin D. Teasley is co-founder and chief executive officer of the Indianapolis-based Fall Creek Academy (formerly the 21st Century Charter School @ Union Station)—one of the first in the state of Indiana —and the Fountain Square Academy (formerly the 21st Century Charter School @ Fountain Square), the 21st Century Charter School @ Gary, and Pikes Peak Prep (formerly the 21st Century Charter School at Colorado Springs). He is also president and founder of the Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation, a non-profit educational organization headquartered in Indianapolis providing support to parents wanting additional education options.
Teasley serves on the national advisory board of the National Charter School Institute, on the executive committee of the Indiana Charter Schools Association, and as a contributing editor of School Reform News. He is a co-founder and former president of American Education Reform Foundation and Council, and former vice president of the Los Angeles-based Center for the Study of Popular Culture. From 1992-3, Teasley served as executive director of ExCEL, the organization that sponsored California’s school choice initiative of 1993. He also served as Public Affairs Director of the Los Angeles-based Reason Foundation, as public affairs associate with the Washington, DC-based Heritage Foundation, and the Reagan White House. His columns have been published in numerous newspapers including USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Indianapolis Star, Los Angeles Daily News, Washington Times, Orange County Register, and many others. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a double major in political science and journalism. |

Dana Johnson

Dana Johnson has served for over five years as Vice President and General Counsel, overseeing all of the business, legal, and operational aspects of the GEO Foundation and the 21st Century Charter Schools. Dana holds a Liberal Arts degree, an MBA, and a law degree, all from Indiana University. Prior to joining the GEO Foundation, Dana helped operate the county-wide educational access television channel for local school districts, and spent several years in public relations, eventually operating her own public relations firm. She finally gave in to her passion to return to law school, and upon graduation, opened her own law firm specializing in serving special needs students and their families. While in law school, Dana earned honors as Moot Court Champion/Order of the Barristers, a member of Law Review, and Pro Bono service awards. She is licensed to practice in the State of Indiana, and in the Northern and Southern Indiana Federal District Courts, and still serves special needs students and their families on a pro bono basis.
Dana currently serves as an elected member of her hometown school board, and is past president of the board of trustees for her local library, a former girl scout leader, and proud parent of one very busy middle school daughter, and two rapidly growing elementary school sons. |

Brian Beck

Chief Technology Officer for the GEO Foundation and the GEO Academy Schools. Brian has 18 years of network management and design, as well as 16 years of experience in implementation and management of educational technology. He worked as the Technology Director for the Piney Woods School from 1999 – 2003. During his tenure as the director he designed and managed a network with multiple buildings that covered a 2000 acres campus, and more than 700 nodes. Prior to that he worked as a Systems Analyst at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Libraries where he managed and designed the Libraries computer floor and access to the campus’s many online databases.
Brian is a Graduate of Marion Military Institute and has participated in the Combinational Institute Star Search Scholars program at Mississippi State University. Brian and the GEO Tech team were awarded the SNW “Best Practices Award” in the spring of 2010 and Brian was named one of InfoWorld’s “TOP 25 CTOs” in the Summer of 2010. |

Paul Dennison

Paul Dennison is the Accounting Manager for GEO Foundation. His responsibilities require him to record, prepare and analyze financial activities while overseeing and directing the accounting processes for GEO Foundation as well as four schools under GEO’s management. Paul holds a B.S. in Finance from University of Kentucky, and a B.S. in Accounting from Colorado Technical University. Prior to joining GEO Foundation, Paul worked as Controller for Vinyl Doctor, Inc., co-owned Dennison Antiques, and provided accounting work for several other industries including retail, service, and non-profits.
Paul is a candidate member of AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), and a candidate member for the Indiana CPA society. He volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and the Humane Society. In his free time, Paul enjoys making and repairing antique furniture, and playing Frisbee golf. |

Rick Elliott

Rick Elliott serves as an integral member of the IT department. His position as IT Support Engineer allows him to maintain, repair, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, netbooks, and servers for GEO Foundation and all of our charter schools.
Rick is extensively educated and possesses a variety of technology certificates including an A+ Certification, Network + Certification, and MCP Certification. Previously, he worked for First National Bank & Trust in Kokomo and at Powerway, Inc. in Indianapolis. Rick and his wife are the proud parents of four children and enjoys spending time with them in their spare time. |

Pegie A. Frazier

Pegie has a strong history of educational experience in public, private, and charter schools, both as teacher and administrator, having held leadership roles in the Denver Public Schools, Tointon Institute/Leadership Academy at a Colorado university, and the KIPP Foundation, San Francisco. Pegie served on several significant committees for the CO Dept. of Education, the Colorado League of Charter Schools, and the US Dept. of Education. She provides leadership to the GEO Foundation Schools in the areas of Special Education in curriculum, instruction, hiring, training, and is currently serving in the capacity of Director of Special Education.
Pegie holds a BS in Elementary Education/music; a MA in Special Education: LD/ED (K-12); and Teacher, Principal, and Special Ed. Director Licenses in the State of Colorado (K-12). She has completed doctoral coursework in Educational Leadership, at the University of Northern CO. |

Reena Gupta

Reena Gupta serves as a Staff Accountant for GEO Foundation. Her responsibilities involve financial statements, month end closing entries, data entries, property taxes, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules for the GEO Foundation and its schools. Reena received her undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Not only has she obtained her Post-Baccalaureate Certification Program in Accounting, she also currently serves as a member of the Golden Key International Honors Society and INCPA Society.
Reena enjoys working for non-profit organizations because she appreciates making a difference within her community. Her prior work experience includes being an Accountant in a non-profit organization in Richmond, VA where she aided woman in becoming small business entrepreneurs. She also has experience in the retail and banking industries. Reena enjoys playing tennis, hiking, watching movies, going on long and calm walks, and playing poker with her family and friends. |

LeaAnn Koekenberg is the Director of Instructional Technology for GEO Foundation. Her goal is to enhance the learning of our students by assisting teachers with the integration of technology-based learning experiences. She does this by developing and implementing technology resources into student curriculum which increases the effectiveness of classroom teaching and learning. In addition, LeaAnn provides instructional support, including co-teaching and model teaching of technology integration lessons and provides consultation support for Assistive Technology. She is also responsible for assessing, improving and growing the efficiency of classroom and GEO Foundation technology initiatives.
Before joining GEO Foundation, LeaAnn served as the Director of Instructional Technology at St. Richard’s School for 12 years. She is a member of the Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators (HECC), International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE), and Indiana Computer Educators (ICE). She achieved her undergrad in Elementary Education from Anderson University and will complete her Masters in Technology in Education from Lesley University in July 2011. LeaAnn is also the proud parent of a Fall Creek Academy student. |

Lisa Lorentz

Lisa Lorentz serves GEO Foundation as Director of Marketing and Public Relations, currently overseeing meeting and convention planning, student recruitment, donor databases, graphic design, web content and other public relations functions. Lisa holds a Telecommunications degree, from Indiana University and is finishing a Masters Certificate in Nonprofit Management in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Prior to joining the GEO Foundation, Lisa served as Communications Director for a large Indianapolis north side church, Assistant Director for Indiana University Alumni Relations, and as a public relations & media consultant for several Indiana nonprofits -- with over 20 years of experience in that field.
Lisa enjoys mentoring young people. She currently serves on the board of the Near North Side Community Development Corporation, and is a founding member of the Fall Creek Academy Parent/Teacher Organization. She has also served on the Washington Township Parent Council, and is past president of the Fox Hill Elementary PTO and the Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Association. She and her husband are both the proud parents of two active teenage sons.

Michelle Moore

Michelle Moore is an essential member of the accounting team serving as Accounts Payable Manager. She is responsible for processing payables for GEO Foundation and our charter schools. In addition, she assists in developing policies, procedures, and forms to improve efficiency. She is a proud stickler when it comes to good record keeping practices and is ever determined to produce more in less time.
Michelle comes to us with more than 16 years of specialized accounts payable experience. This vast knowledge stems from a wide range of work experience with medical supply distribution, property management and logistics business. Her wealth of work experience accumulated includes shipping, receiving, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management, office supply ordering and office machine care. Michelle is working toward obtaining an Accounting degree. |

Lauren Peterson serves as Enrollment Coordinator for GEO Foundation schools. Prior to joining GEO, Lauren was Executive Assistant/Director of Administration and Business Services for the Black Coaches and Administrators Association (BCA), Program Manager for Learn IT Systems, Supplemental Education Services Provider and Assistant to the President/Program Manager for the Madame Walker Theatre Center (MWTC).
Lauren holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Management from Marian University (College). In addition to her love for mentoring and assisting young people, Lauren also maintains an active community involvement schedule serving as a volunteer with various organizations and boards to include Special Olympics Indiana Board Member, Indiana Sports Corporation, Circle City Classic Parade Committee, Key Learning Community (IPS) School PTO, Wayne Township (HOSTS Mentor Reading Program)
Lauren is a native of Indianapolis, IN and has three grown children, and six grandchildren. |

Dawn Peters-Keith serves GEO Foundation as Business Manager and Senior Paralegal, currently overseeing active litigation, recruiting, compliance reporting and the Board of Directors’ Meetings. Dawn holds a Paralegal Degree from IUPUI. Prior to joining the GEO Foundation, Dawn served as Paralegal for two Indianapolis Law Firms, Lauth Property Group and Simon Property Group with over 15 years experience in that field.
Dawn enjoys enriching young minds. She currently serves on the Girl Scouts of America Service Unit for Wagon Trails (Plainfield) as well as leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop; she also serves on the Boy Scouts Crossroads of America Pack 304 Committee as Treasurer and co-leader of her son’s Webelos Pack and as Parent Liaison on Van Buren’s PTO. |

Connie Pulliam has served GEO Foundation for over nine years as Manager of Human Resources, developing and providing HR support services, including payroll, retirement and healthcare benefits for GEO Foundation and the 21st Century Charter Schools.
A lifetime resident of Indiana, Connie attended the University of Miami where she majored in science. Prior to joining the GEO Foundation, Connie managed the statewide offices for the Indiana Association of Home Educators, where she counseled with families wanting to home school. Educating her own children at home; she realized first hand that all children have unique learning styles and need additional options to the traditional public school. While serving the IAHE, she received a letter of commendation from the U.S. Navy for her work to help establish military admissions guidelines for home schooled graduates in Indiana. After her children graduated, she co-founded the Indiana Foundation for Home Schooling, established to provide college scholarship opportunities for home educated students. There she served as an executive board member till 2009 and currently serves on their advisory council.
Connie celebrates over 30 years of marriage with her husband, Roger. She has enjoyed volunteering in many capacities throughout her life including Scouts, Special Olympics, church, YAK; a statewide youth organization she co-founded to serve home schooled teens in Indiana, and mentoring young girls incarcerated with the Ocala Correctional Facility for Youth. She loves yoga, the outdoors and spending time with any of their twelve grandchildren.

Kyle Rouse

Kyle Rouse serves GEO Foundation as Operations Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Kyle currently oversees transportation, food service, facility maintenance, vendor relations, property and liability insurance, and financial management for GEO Foundation and GEO Academies. He also serves as the Program Director for the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. This is a 4-year, $1,000,000 grant received by GEO Foundation to establish afterschool programs at Fall Creek Academy and Fountain Square Academy that provide at-risk students with opportunities for academic enrichment, personal enrichment, and other activities designed to complement their regular academic program.
In his spare time, Kyle enjoys spending time with family. He became a first-time-dad in January 2011 and admits becoming a father is even better than he imagined it would be. He’s also the proud uncle of a nephew and two nieces. When not spending time with his family, Kyle likes to referee elementary, middle school, and high school basketball games. He has been a licensed official of the Indiana High School Athletic Association for the last nine years. |

Karen Woods serves GEO Foundation as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Public Relations. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. Before joining GEO Foundation, she worked for an Indianapolis based legal firm as the Marketing Coordinator.
Karen’s passion for serving non-profits stems from her internship serving as a campaign assistant to the Indiana Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and from her business development contributions to the Indiana Venture Center. She is active with the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Marketing Association and welcomes the opportunities to become more involved with the Indianapolis community through the GEO Foundation. |
